This reminds me of our cats playing with our dog before he died and desperately wanting attention and love.( R.I.P. UGA) Anyways, this does bring back such peaceful memories and I love how the alliteration makes sense and is well written. Excellent job and thanks for sharing.

Oh Geez, what will they think of next? The thing that jumped out at me is the second stanza. IMO, clumsily/ clattering is a better match which leaves carefully crouching (as in deliberate crouching/hiding as cats will do when they get ready to pounce). This is more challenging than it looks!

Hi,
What an adorable picture. Animals are just a kick to watch. These poems are almost a tongue twister, but fun to read.
Great job and presentation. The best of luck in the contest.
Cheers & Blessings

You definitely begin each word with the same letter, though I would argue that chasing is not truly alliterative as it begins with a ch sound and not a hard C sound - but the contest only says the same letter while it's title is alliterative, so I am not deducting for that in yours or others' poems
fun play on words with catawampus
good humor and strong visuals :-) Brooke

Well, I don't see how one can "carefully clatter" something, Mystery Poet. Carelessly clatter, perhaps, but the word "clatter" to me indicates to cause great noise with wanton disregard.
Still, this was a very cute poem despite that, and I do sincerely wish you the best of luck in the contests outcome.

No worries, my dear friend. That's what we're here for. :)
Comment from Drew Delaney
Very nice. And you made it appear so easy to do with using only one letter. I wonder whether the letter chosen would make a difference. Imagine the letter 'x'? Ha. That would be almost impossible to write eight lines with that letter. Best wishes in the contest.

Your poem meets the requirements of the contest. This is an excellent entry. Your poem using just the letter C is very well written. Best of luck in the voting.

As a cat person, I certainly can't resist a poem about felines. You did a terrific job with the alliteration. I love the name Catawampus - how cute is that! Hugs, Lou
