This was a really good write, mystery author, given the confines of the contest. Yes, we all ponder death as we approach old age.
I think it makes us more aware of how we are living life each day.
All rules followed - I find no fault.
Good luck in the contest.
Well done.

You made a clear and easily understood statement of fact. The end of life is death. It completes the journey. You met the requirements of the prompt well. Good job.

Complete
journey of life
is death

For me this is the one I would chose as a winner. So down to earth, a story of a life time, is expressed by this writer. Bravo. Terry xoxo

Thank you Acquired Taste, I do love the dark side of life at times but I was hoping to convey death's sensitive side with the baby in hand. God Bless!

Oh yes, it is in the eye of the beholder - and sensitive (?) yes - he wasn't holding the baby's heart - that was a good thing! Jean

Your poem is in good 2/4/2 syllable count for this contest
good use of enjambment to make this one continuous statement
an interesting observation about the nature of life and death

Thank you Brooke, I enjoy writing to the fullest capacity and only wish I had taken it more serious when I was younger. I would love nothing more than to write for living. Thank you again and God Bless!

You have met the contest requirements well with a spot on syllable count. The message is quite powerful given the syllables allotted. I wish you all the best in the voting and thank you so much for sharing this with me.

Yes, we all think about reaching the full circle. That's why we must not waste a single day so that we can truly have a
complete life. I also like your most unique illustration.
