A well-penned prose;
Good alliterative names:
"Postless Peacock";
"Rankless Raptor";
"withstand an annual shearing"--very true--a good parallel when low ratings are delivered;
We seem to put our neck on the chopping block when posting poetry/prose--just have to accept that others may not be pleased with our thoughts--I've received four stars also for improper punctuation--that's a bit extreme I think;
A bit pathetic when one with no accomplishments harshly reviews others' work.

Thank you so much! I am so happy you liked this as it was lots of fun to write. We have all been the little lamb at one time or another and as long as we keep posting, we have already beat the creepy crawlies out there LOL. I am very grateful for your lovely words of support as EWE made my day.

You're welcome, Monica.
I like the play on words to complete your reply.
May you have a great day.

This is so very cute, Mystic Angel. You are right in so many ways. Those who are the nastiest, don't really have a lot to talk about. But even so, they might just be better at editing than writing. Who knows? This was so full of great imagination. Loved it!

Thank you so much, Drew! I am thrilled you enjoyed it as it was so much fun to write. I think we can all relate to the poor little lamb, but in the end in her own fuzzy little way she won big. I am very grateful for your wonderful words of encouragement and support.

Ha! Ha! What a great little essay from your lamb persona! It was entertaining from start to finish and your character names were great. My favorite line was "It was a miracle that I could type with hooves and could not fathom someone expecting me to hold down the shift key." Baaaah!

Hi, just had to give this six stars. I loved it from beginning to end. Yes, I have had similar not sure if it was from grammar gobbler or postless peacock because all the words blurred infront of my eyes. I love fanstory though. Have good days and bad days. Wish I could join a good flock though. Seriously though, I loved this and really enjoyed reading it. If I was a creature guess I would be a wise old owl as I know good stuff when I see it and this was a well deserved six. Good luck in the contest. Genya

Thank you so much, Jenny! Lamb chops are always quite saucy and this little ball of fur is a handful. Ewe made my day with your encouraging coos of support.

This is terrific. Welcome to the contest. There's only three in this herd/flock thingy we've created, but we're all speaking the same language in a way. I love the lambs and the idea of joining a herd of some sort. You've consistently kept the theme centred on this sheepish character much to my amusement. The review-meisters that you've dreamt up, could well be any number of reviewers. I love the guy who rewrites your work; oh, I've had that done many times. Love how you've used 'Baah'. The underlying idea of the innocent sheep writing for fun only to get fleeced is great. Good luck with this.

Thank you so much! You were the inspiration for the lamb as I remembered that you wrote about one once and how much you liked them - so thanks for the inspiration. We did all seem to focus on the same kind of reviewers LOL - I wonder if we all had the same peeps in mind. Actually when I finished this I decided that maybe we are misjudging them and they truly do mean well. There goes my innocence again ...... baaaah.
-
Little Bo Peeps to be exact. You really brought that story back to memory. I think I said that I like 'wambies'. Really do.
You may be right about the misjusdgement, but I don't think so.

Yet, another excellent submission for this contest. All different and creative - but very much alike in that the same frustrations with the same types of reviews surfaced in all the entries.
I do believe the ugly truth is showing its fuzzy head.
Great job. Jean

Thank you so much, Jean! I think we all have experienced the same types of situations which is why we were so consistent. Hopefully, others will see that you can survive it and should never let one or two creepy crawlies ruin the overall experience that comes from sharing yourself with words. I am very grateful for your lovely words of encouragement and support.

Hi Mystic Angel,
I think that this is a wonderful take on the prompt.
I love all the names you gave the various reviewers - their names and the creature really suited their particular brand of reviewer - i have come across a few Grammar Gobblers and Postless Peacocks in real life!
I'm loving the good humoured 'Baaaah-ing' and I think the last paragraph concludes your story very well - it shows the reason why Little Lamb joined FS in the first place and that she will carry on in her own sweet way regardless of the rest of the 'herd'.
Lovely - my favourite entry... you got my vote and I wish you well :)
Kindest regards, Debra

Thank you so much, Debra! All herds have a few surly sorts lurking on the fringes - that is simply life in the jungle LOL. I am so happy that you enjoyed this as it was so much fun to write. I am very grateful for your lovely words of encouragement and support. This little lamb is tickled pink to have brought a smile to your face.

Good for the little lamb and may she continue to write simply because she loves to write. Great character development and narrative voice. The perspective was consistent throughout. I think I would like to meet the little lamb. She is so perky and confident.

Thank you so much! She is quite the handful LOL. I am so happy that you enjoyed this as it sounds like you had as much for reading it as I did writing it. I am very grateful for your wonderful words of encouragement and support.
