Thank you for not making time travel the central, sci-fi focus- nothing complicated, just an app really more akin to magic. I wonder if the DVD seller has a few Gremlins stashed away. Where can I get the app? I owe Helen of Troy a visit.

Hehe, yes I can think of some uses. Indeed, the time travel is a story point but the focus is Lizzy and Darren. On reflection, the shop does sound like it should stock little mogwais doesn't it?

I wonder if the boy saw that Darren has a wife. Now I have more questions, wondering how he could possibly know that if Darren was time traveling. Guess we'll have to wait for the next post to see how this mystery will unravel.

Time travel has met the way of other fantasies. The mode of travel is limited. This is very well written with an interesting flow of words/

Haven't read the earlier chapters but this one got me hooked right off the bat. The very concept of a man cheating on his past girlfriend with his current wife is genius. I look forward to reading future chapters.

Thanks so much, Lones :-). The first three chapters were from Lizzy's perspective as this strange guy keeps appearing to show her strange new cooking methods and ingredients. Now we get to see the more complicated issue of what's happening on Darren's side of the equation. Really glad you enjoyed it!

Mike,
I really loved the change in POV. It helps to know what and why this man chooses to return in time to change the way someone cooks. LOL Who does that? Oh, yeah, people from our imaginations. Just a couple of thoughts.
ROFLMAO The picture alone is worth a sixer.
Mr. Denny
Imagery is excellent and definitely can't wait to read more.
Love,
Barbara

Thank you, Barbara :-). In the original version, this was the start of part 2, so there was a half of the tale in each pov. I thought it would be fun to show the flip side of the coin. So glad you liked it!

This is a bit more philosophical than my brain can handle this early in the morning. I am sure it will all fall together in the next chapter. I do understand Darren's dilemma..I'd be confused too. This is still fun to read and I anxiously look forward to the next part.

Thank you, my dear :-). Yeah, you know I can't resist getting technical! The explanation is only part way there - it will all make sense, I promise!

I indeed did enjoy this chapter, Mike, and am looking forward to the next. You have a way of hooking the reader immediately, leading him through the chapter, linked to your humor, and the strange credibility of the plot, and leave him hanging by his fingertips at the edge of a cliff.
Good work, Mike.

Lol, thanks, Jay :-). I can't help slipping a bit of humour in - I think it benefits any story. This was my chance to show the other side of what's happening, nit only from Darren's perspective but that of the modern world.

amazing experience of his life, but - I added the comma
laying on one side - lying
I love his friend's sarcastic attitude in their conversation about his present day wife and time travel girlfriend
good speculation about what happens to his body in present time while he is off traveling
interesting explanation in the closing

Wow. I don't know where you're headed with this, but things keep getting deeper. And I'm still waiting for that sandwich!
he'd woken up in bed, laying (lying) on one side,
and one occasion clutching a manky, half-eaten burger in (from?) a giant bin behind a fast food restaurant.
He (Darren?) remembered reading how, in Far East cultures,

I am enjoying the humor here in general. For every good thing that happens to Darren during his travels, it's off-set by misadventure at home plate. It seems the solution would be to high-tail it back to Lizzy, and try to find gainful employment there. It's an interesting question proposed by the event of time travel; I can't tell if you've actually answered it or not, but it makes for a good plot. Very enjoyable. Kenny

Haha, Thanks Kenny :-). I do my best to answer it - you'll see what I mean in the next two chapters.
