This is a delightful 'lizard' poem ... love the 'mightiness' of the beginning (many syllables) taking us all the way down to ... er ... 'one'. Great focus and a fun piece - though I doubt I'll go see it, having suffered through the first one!
Blessings,
Sharyn

Many lizards do resemble prehistoric monsters, I have to say. Therefore I think you did well with your nonet. You put in a little science as well, so it made a good subject, Giddy

The big lizard thanks you. Elaine

The poem was short and sweet, it needed nothing more and the exuberance you gave to the king of lizards. A festival of words that so few drew the likeliness of theatrical existence of GODZILLA

Great poem! I've been a fan of Godzilla since my adolescent years and I haven't seen the new movie yet but I plan to soon! Some say it's pretty good! I'll tell you, this gargantuan lizard doesn't play as her mission is revenge with a vengeance! :) Thanks for sharing such a great poem!

Don't you just love those old monster movies. I haven't seen this one yet, but the old dubbed, man in the lizard suit movies used to delight me. They were corny, but they were fun. Save us Godzilla!
You capture the essence of those movies well in your nonet.

Nicely written nonet, with each line adding to the overall effect of the poem. Great alliteration with destroy/dominate and frail/fearful. I haven't seen the movie so will have to take your word on his being deserving of this honor. :)

Your nonet pretty much sums up what kind of creature Godzilla is. Nice job! I like your description of him as being a "lizard king, powerful, alpha, one." I, too, just saw the movie and always enjoy movies with special effects.
My best to you.
