Odiferous ode
Owed to an excess of beans
O dog - was it you?
Ha ha - oh, dear -- mind, he doesn't look like he cares a jot - lovely picture.
thanks for making me smile.

If it wasn't the dog, we can still surely blame him. lol This 5-7-5 poem was a fun response to the prompt. I once had a dog who could clear the room. The picture is adorable.

I love the picture. I love the poem. I have been there done that. Blame the bad smell on the dog. He can not defend himself. This dog looks sad. I think people will forgive him pretty quickly. Great work. Good luck with the contest.

LOL! The dog did it for sure - he won't make eye contact, that makes him guilty in my book! Very funny 5-7-5 ode. I enjoyed the alliteration and the humour. Good luck in the booth. Kindest regards, Debra :)

You have made your pooch the object of your ode, and in turn scorned it for doing what comes naturally. Beans indeed. What's apooch doing gorging on excesses of beans? We all know that in teh wrong stomach, such foods give off worse than normal smells that offend sensitive noses. Your amusing ode in 5-7-5 is an interesting and amusing addition to the lineup of entries. I like the roundness of this piece, aided by your proensity for using O alliteratively; like a hill of little round beans.

Fancy the odoriferous ode being yours. A chAnge of direction from sonnets and such.

Ha! This is the funniest I've read for this contest. The font size is a tad big, but it adhered to the 5/7/5 requirements...was the "ode" to the dog? lol Poor baby. :)
