Once I read your title, I immediately saw the skull in your photograph. I like the contradiction in "Animated Stills" and since I enjoy the Whitney form, I'm a happy camper! I admired your little mystery and your rhymes. Cheers- Joan

Thank you Joan. If I ever get it together, I'll have a book of Animated Stills. I've written 25 of them so far.

You certainly have an active imagination and a keen eye for detail.
I find the concept of an animated poem based on an inanimate object quite interesting.
Many times as a frightened child I saw shapes in the dark that really looked like a boogie man. Thankfully I was usually wrong.
The Whitney style is used to best advantage here to explain what you see.

Maybe people aren't into pruning naked trees during the winter. But it's not safe if it's too close to the road or windows. Good work.

Animated stills...very nice, Mr. 'T'. I see the skull, a sort of egg-shaped or tear-dropped shaped thing. Weird! Also, right up my particular alley, LOL.
Good stuff!

Thank you Dean. I thought about you when I wrote it. Wish I could have made it a bit more macabre.

You are very welcome. It was great, just as it is.

Hi, Treischel,
"Alien Skull" is a good poem in Whitney format. It as good rhyme and good visually interesting structure but I do not see a skull. No imagination I guess.

Big surprise,
alien skull.
Secret eyes Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull?
are fairly dull.
Hard to spot
this hidden hull. Love 'hull' and the 'h' alliteration
Why was it left there to rot? Good question.
Well presented.
