This is interesting information. I may need it some day soon. It is good that you put some humour into the information. You put it together very well.

I know it's not funny but the lady in the hydrotherapy pool--what was she thinking?
I don't have a hearing aid but when in college my roommate did, and I had a curious dog.
My roommate had the bad habit of forgetting to turn her aid off and it would squeal with feed back. One night she left it on her night stand. It was gone in the morning.
The next day, we found everything except the ear-mold.
From then on she put it in the drawer. LOL
Two days later, my dog passed small bits of rubber, so we knew for sure who the thief in the night was. LOL

Yes. I did help you with a YouTube video.
Remember it's easy. Hit share beneath the video, then hit embed and copy the highlighted code in the box. Paste that in your author notes, and you're all done.

Re the lady in the Hydro pool she of course did not go under the water, but she was being very daring wearing them in the pool. We see her at the shops still some times, does not go to the pool anymore neither do we.

Very good advice. I wear them in both ears. The VA keeps me supplied every time they are in need. Hard to get use to the digital. Yep keeping them clean is very important. Dog eat one set . Got them off my end table. Poor dog.

Hi Ben thanks for the review. Ouch for the dog huh! I had a all in the ear one some years ago and it fell on the floor in my study, unbeknowns to me and I TROD on it! Fortunately the amplifier was still intact only cost me $AU30 to get it re made.
Might add this to my story not funny at the time but a laugh now hehe!

Did the same one night. Had VA to make me another. lol

Your message repeated. Ha so we are all the same. mean considering the nature of the all in the ear aid it would be easyfor it to roll off a desk onto the floor huh!

Hearing aids are such a pain in the butt. I admire anyone who has to patience to wear the device on a continuing basis. My sister wore one for twenty years. I couldn't stand it for twenty minutes. I rather go around saying "What did you say".

Wow, I don't have a hearing aid but I sure will remember these tips. Very practical and has the voice of a blog entry. Grammatically sound except fro the last unnecessary comma. With a touch more of your natural humor, you could really widen your audience.

I have heard that hearing aids cost more than a thousand dollars. If this is a true statement, then hearing aid users are being ripped off. All a hearing aid really is, is a miniature amplifier. From everything I know about the amplification process. There is no reason that they should come close to that kind of cost. There should be an investigation into the cost of these hearing aids. This was a well written article that I enjoyed reading... John

Hi John good to hear from you and thanks for the review. We are blessed in Australia that as pensioners the Government supplies us the aids every two years we get assessed as to whether we need an upgrade. I do know the aids are expensive a friend of mine not a pensioner had to pay thousands for his. Most people have Health insurance that helps with the costs.

My husband has hearing aids but I'm not sure this information applies to all types because no one has ever told him to blow on anything or open them for cleaning. He has to go in for cleaning every few months which is a free service.

Yeah well you are right depends on your equipment. I forgot to distinguish between the "over -the -ear kind of aids and the "all in the ear type. I had the latter years ago. All in the ear aids would need a technician to service them. Thanks for the reminder. Will go back and edit accordingly.

Hi Cynthia Look for The Little Dog That Wouldn't let Go" an thanks for the review. I just had a reminder that my advice wold only suit the "over the ear" type of aid, Not the "all-in-the- ear ones.
