What a darling tribute this is JC to a wonderful poet and a TRUE gentleman. His delight with the pen knows no bounds and he'll be sadly missed here by many.
His meter was always perfect and I don't think there was ever an occasion where I could nab him on meter...haha
It sounds like he helped you immensely and I know for a fact he is a generous soul with his time so you would have learned a lot. Well written and you captured some wonderful traits here, now steadfast in time. A true tribute to a poetic Master and Lord...Here f**king here!

Even though the meter was a royal mess, lol, I'm quite sure that our rhythm lord was pleased as punch by this very sweet and humorous tribute. A six for content and the sentiment, girlie! I stomped my little foot and pleaded with him, lol, but got nowhere in convincing him not to go. I see by your review replies that you have been working on him too. I told him I liked you because you gave him a one when you found out he was leaving, lol! It just won't be the same here without him. xx M

Hahaha Marsha I know how could he give up the challenge of sorting that out...lmao. I guess I'll have to petition St. Jude the Patron Saint of lost causes if Ray leaves. Thanks for your wonderful and fun review and rating. Keep working on him between us we may wear him down..lol. Love n hugs Jaq xx

Perhaps we'll be able to convince him to return after a break, at least. Lol about St. Jude! Good luck on both your missions ; ) Love n hugs back, M

Hi Jaq,
This had me laughing as some parts of it I could completely relate too. Going to be a hard knock when he goes.
I especially loved:
"I'm hopeless with iambic things
and pentameter a headache brings,
he said I have a rhythm all my own
but that can't be good, I heard him groan." // Loved this as it is so me too:D
Thanks for sharing this one - Still laughing over that stanza - brilliant.

Great write. Yes, the poem does give him praise of the person he is. To be different is not easy. For a moment I thought he was gone for good, LOL. One of the best pal I have had and he had no pretence when he airs his hot comments in poems and does get real at most times - passionate too. Ooopps! I have describe him too much here already. But he will forgive me, Jac, LOL.
I first knew him from the first poem I read from him which lamented the 2 cent read that members tend not to read - I proved him wrong, LOL. More about him in my review to his latest farewell poem.
Great write and an excellent tribute to a guy who dares to be different and prefer to get the wrath of FS rather than hide behind a mask.
Cheerio, Ritchie.

He is going for good Ritchie :( That's the sad part. xx

Yes, it's sad in a way but he must have found another joy somewhere, LOL. He used to joke a lot with me especially about the new craze game "Candy Crush" in Facebook, LOL.

You are making me sad all over again, Jaq Cee. I will miss him, too. He's been a great support and always gives the best advice, and a laugh. No one can touch him for iambic pentameter, and lord knows mine needs help lol Whatever will we do? :( A great tribute! Ray would be proud.

He's had enough of the disparity of treatment on here also. People cheating for votes and stuff. They seem to prosper while the others who dare to speak out leave the site. I am still working on him and Indie(who is going too) to stay. :) Jaq xx

The last couple days I have seen such a wonderful outpouring of affection for two different members of the fanstory family. It's amazing what beauty love/gratitude will inspire. This is a good example.

mikenbel you are so right, two marvellous poets, two different losses, but a loss it will be nonetheless. :) Jaq x
