Enjoyed reading your creative Tetractys poem. A perfect picture segues directly into your well worded poem. The family is were we form our being and to whom we are forever entwined.

    Thank you again for the time away from your own precious words to read and review mine. My brother has been heavily involved in researching the family lines and that inspired me to think in this direction. I couldn't believe how lucky I was to have found the photo. I do like the shorter versions which force us to get to the essence of our thought. Thank you for the stars, too. - Wendy

This is a terrific poem, fraught with double meanings all over the place. 'Fig leaves fall'--'limbs intertwine'--all culminating in a new branch to the family tree. Very, very nice. Baby image is adorable.

A well-penned contest entry, mystery poet;
I like the good alliteration "fig leaves fall" as you also incorporate a biblical story;
I see a wonderful metaphor here also, as a tree produces new growth, humans also produce new life.
Excellent!
