What a great ode to mother earth.

Love the opening:
Gaia stands
where celestial
and terrestrial
meet

Yes, this is where we all stand.

Love it.
Hugs, d

I really like your Eternal Mother
Well done when you said-

where celestial
and terrestrial
meet

from her
fertile womb
humankind took root
Wondering how you did in the contest?

Hi, Gert. Thanks for the great review! I really appreciate your taking time to read my poem - it didn't do too well in the contest, but I liked it. I guess that's what matters most at the end of the day. Peace, my friend. :0) Bev

Good Morning, Bev-san

I really like this poem and the poetic devices you employed to make the read both interesting and as a means to drive home its central theme. I admire your use of the 'ial' ending words in lines 2 and3 and the internal line rhyme with 'took' and 'root'. in the last line. Your poem is also appropriate for the season given its connection with the celestial meeting terrestrail.

Well done, and good luck with the contest.
Ray

Hello. Very powerful choice of words here. Loved the synergy behind celestial and terrestrial as in sky and earth. The root part is fantastic. Good luck and cheers.

Poet,
Your Septolet poem is excellently written with terrific imagery painted by your pen.
iin only fourteen words split up in two stanzas you've written a poetic gem.
In your Septolet poem you've used very good alliteration with the F words.
The art work you used is amazing.
I enjoyed your lines:
Gaia stands
where celestial
and terrestrial
meet

from her
fertile womb
humankind took root
I wish you good luck in the Septolet Poem writing prompt contest.
I'd recoommend your Septolet poem for others to review.
Plesse have a fabulous day,
Missy.

Hmm. That first statement actually had my head spinning as I tried to come up with an exact location. Where does the sky and ground meet, anyway? I'm thinking around twelve feet from the ground, since no human being, regardless of how tall, could possibly reach up and touch that high. So as soon as it's beyond the fingertips of man, we are at sky height. :)

Sounds good to me anyway.

Great poem, but it took me where you didn't intend. LOL
