Beautiful poem to your son. We really can't ever keep them safe from everything but we sure try as parents, don't we? Thanks for sharing.

Hello friend, you penned a wonderful ditty reflecting beautiful sentiments/emotions for a son who indeed any parent would be proud of; excellent rhyme/rhythm and I join you in praying to bring Eric home safely and soon, God bless.

You should frame this with a picture of the two of you and hang it up on your wall. I think everyone should see how proud you are of your son. :) Great job with this. Maybe you should embarrass him and send this over seas for him to read :)

Absolutely beautifully written poem of
a proud mother's love for her son whispered
in words that float down the screen in unending
warmth and feelings that caress the heart and
soul for all who stop to pause and read.
Well done

This brought tears to my eyes. Your words were so visual, and I could see your son standing there smiling back at you. You have done a wonderful job, in what sounds like difficult circumstances. I'm sure your son loves and respects you for it. Alexis x

This is a beautiful poem, written with such love for your son. I really appreciate the message and the difficulties of knowing your son's in Afghanistan, while your heart is full of pride for he is standing for us all.He will be in my prayers along with all our troops! Wonderful!! Brian

A totally wonderful write and one which you can be proud of and Eric can be too. It's hard to watch a son grow up and leave to fight for you. He is to be commended along with so many others.

Tearjerker...
Beautiful poem for your son.
Loved this: You stand for freedom, peace and God. But you're still my little boy.
I just pray to God to keep you safe, since I can't do it now.
Across the seas, the miles of sand, you stand for what is right.

My husband recently retired from the military and I always asked God to keep him in His sight. I can feel your love and desire to keep protecting your son. Sounds like he is a wonderful young man. Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt poem. Have a wonderful day. :)

Excellent write enjoyed it very much. I thank all those service men who fight for freedoms and their parents and families. We take for granted the sacrifices they and there family members make. Thanks for sharing

Thank you. I don't think we really take it for granted, as much as I think they just do their jobs so well we feel secure.
