I know what it is to be in a relationship with someone like that. They feel so low about themselves they want you to be lower than them. This is very well written. A very strong write. And the perfect picture.

Sometimes people come into our lives for the worse instead of the better
I liked the line: I'm older but no wiser... it shows how our decisions and foolishness lead to consequences,though sometimes we are not to blame

That is great and thoroughly deserves my six stars, I can finally give. I can feel the anguish in the poem, I really hope this isn't real life as I wouldn't wish it on anyone to feel like this. Even the old cow that used to sell drugs next door to us a long time ago. But I think she probably bumped her old man off and had no feelings about it whatsoever LOL.
