Typically I will ponder four starring something too brief but what the hey, it's a good postitive poem with a strong message of hope. Besides, the colors are cool and the photograph is hip too. NIce simple poem. Jeff..........................

Very philosophical, but still very well written. Once we begin to overlook the pain, we know that it too has its purpose. And that would be to get us somewhere better. Thanks for the reminder.

Having lived through hell and managed to escape, I can relate all to well to these wise words. I believe that everything happens for a reason and the steps we take along the way make for a stronger and more serene future. Jewell, you always hit a chord with me in your poetry, this is something that's quite unique seeing as we don't even know each other.
Another great write from your heart to others. Well done.

Oh Wow, I think I truly needed to hear those words today. The biggest storms bring the brightest rainbows. That touches me deeply. It is strange how life leads peoples paths to cross but I'm sure our roads have crossed for a reason. You write what I need to hear and can absorb. Oustanding reading as have been every one I have read from your pen.

Great poem, and so true, unhappiness is a great force, that push us to explore new horizon's, great images flow and terrific message !
"Had we not suffered a little,
would we even desire
to take a new
and different road?
The biggest storms
Bring us the
brightest rainbows. "

Jewell, I love this poem. Yes, everything does happen for a reason, and we may not understand it, but we may be blessed because of it. I love the symbolism of the storms and rainbows. Thank you for sharing your work with us.

I did something similar to this but still different. Mine has a lot to do with the roads you walk when you are a cancer survivor. But always the rainbow at the end of the road or tunnel is the key to a new road. Yes you leave the hurt on the other road you walked and you go forward to another one. For all of the reasons as I stated them I liked this one too.
