Another installment in the diary of Harley. He seems to be taking over the household. I guess there will be many adjustments for everyone concerned. Soon, though, you won't be able to remember life before Harley.

Harley is a very cute little dog and this is a very up beat poem for him. One full of life, fun and hope for the future. Happy New Year.

Very sweet, Patty. Didn't you write a poem a while back about losing a dog and replacing him with "Harley?" Maybe it was someone else...This Has so much heart in it, Patty. One can feel your love for the dog:

"With Harley in the house
Nothing is the same
For me or my spouse
No one to blame"

    No, Harley isn't a 'replacement' dog. I waited awhile, because we haven't been in an ideal situation to take on a new puppy until now. I'm really glad you enjoyed the poem - Harley is quite the special dog! ~patty~

Hi Patty! I very much enjoyed reading this poem, which so enthusedly rings in the New Year! Great positive emotion and imagery intermingle and weave in and out together, as they flow very smoothly through the body of this well-crafted poem, all encased in a very appealing rhyme scheme. Great to hear how Harley is progressing.
I hope the cats are okay with him around.
I must agree that, as with our children, the baby years are so special.
Just a wee note of caution friend, don't spoil him too much eh?

Very cute little poem with nice rhymes and flow all the way through. So happy for your puppy that he have ended up in your home and hands and cool name, by the way!!! Happy New Year!!

I've owned a number of cats, never a dog! I live in a community of 300 homes... I'm sure there are 200 dogs! I may succumb... great write, right from the heart! Love and hugs, Jack xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Cute and fun. The dog-lover in me enjoyed this. We just got a Munsterlander this year. She only ate a few ornaments from the tree but inspired a Christmas poem. Hope Harley brings you much joy, I know Tessa has healed our hearts after a Chesapeak with rage syndrom. They truly can be man's best friend.
