Hey Shelley I was missing you checking in, withdrawals! So I found this and LOVE it and you won too. Why do I not get your post? I think I asked you that before.
This is such a great little tetractys. I love how you put everything into books, I should do that and throw the junkies out-wait then I wouldn't have anything for the book. LOL Appy Hollydaze Sauce! XO :)Vicki

Congratulations on your win. Your theme is perfectly suited to its poetic format. The verse conjures up a bitter-sweet image of the passing of time and evokes a sense of the surging tide of universal feelings. The first three lines are sheer genius in their effective simplicity.
On another subject I love your profile pic...an exact image of my dear departed Chewbacca. He who patiently watched and waited until he caught and ate one of my neighbor's free range chickens...leaving the garden a sea of white feathers.

Pretty cute entry for the contest!
Nice iambice build up to follow the contest rules and the poem shape is well set out in blue.
The little sparkly things are pretty neat!
Lots of luck for the contest with your romance write.

Beautifully done! I've never tried to write a tetractys, but it looks like you've got it mastered. The background you chose lends beautifully to the poem. And the most important part -- the thought behind the poem -- is great. Good job. Good luck in the contest.

somehow, I think the one tear slowly falling
down someone's face is even sadder than watching
someone just sob as it says to me the person is
plain cried out and can no longer muster any
tears
this is an excellent entry for this contest
good luck to you
love,
jan

This is an interesting tetractys, well done as to form and syllable count. The contrast in the one tear and the ocean of emotion is striking. Best wishes to you, Jeanie Mercer
