I like the way you describe inspiration in your poem. You are spot on. I wish you luck in the competition with this entry. It is very creative.

Hi Helvi! I'm enjoying reading all of these acrostics before voting even though the contest closed before I could enter. You have written a lovely piece that flows beautifully down the page and is complimented by great art work. Best of luck in the contest. Sue

Hi there and what a wonderful entry my friend. I actually posted the same theme poem for the site contest but mine is completely different. Well done here though I think this is fantastic.
You outlined what inspiration means so well in descript words such as "intriguing" "notion" (I had that too) now, my only query ... is "aspiring" an off shoot or derivative somehow of "inspiring" as the contest rules state no derivatives etc. I am not completely up to speed on whats what but that is the only thing it might pay to check. When I set these rules, I wanted a real challenge. I haven't checked meaning of it but if any one queries it, you may want to revert to another word. I only thought it because it ends in "spiring" ...
I loved what you wrote though and if that little hiccup checks out then I would say this is more than a chance. A nice big kitty too $180 good luck friend and thanks so much for entering.
Cheers closetpoetjester xo

    Hi closetpoetjester,
I checked out the definitions of both words. They look like two different words to me with different meanings. :o) I understood I couldn't use any words like inspire, inspires, inspiring, inspiration or inspirational from inspirations. I don't think that I have. :o)

    Here are the two defintions:
Inspiration : a sudden brilliant idea
Aspiring : a desire or ambition to achieve something

No one has questioned the words, but you....and I understand that because it's your contest. I believe I did follow the rules though. :o)

I you really have a strong belief I should change aspiring, I shall.

Thanks for creating such a fun contest. I'm glad you enjoyed my poem. I can't wait to read yours.
    Smiles,
    Helvi :o)

No honey! Don't change it if you have checked the meanings and they are different ... I couldn't do it as I was in the middle of your review. This is a fantastic entry and would not want to see anyones poem disqualified if anything looks a little untoward. Please don't change on my behalf it was just the "spiring" ending to it that had me moderately suspicious. Only trying to help and this is your poem so please keep it in as I think it is definitely within the contest rules going off what you explained. Well done.
Cheers and sincerely, the best of luck.

This contest has been so much fun to follow. The challenge is not easy and you've done a bang-up job with this definition of "inspirations"!! excellent

This is a great entry for the acrostic contest. All your words work together and nothing sounds contrived, as can happen with acrostics. Great job. Good luck.

Oh, Helvi, what a lovely minimalistic acrostic poem you have created here. Inspirationally speaking, it flows well, and conjures up a lovely metaphore of inspirations.
Good luck in the contest, my friend.
Warmest regards, Marijke

Helvi2,
your diagnostic acrostic poem is wonderfully written. Beautiful art work of the flower you used. I adore flowers. I enjoyed all of the lines:

Intriguing
Notions
Stimulate
Promising
Imaginative
Reflections,
Aspiring
To
Initiate
Opulent
Nurtured
Scenarios

Cleaver use of adjectives and adverbs in your acrostic arrangement. You acrostic 'Inspirations' is an excellent entry in the minimalist diagnostic acrostic contest. Good luck in the voting booth. Have a nice day.
Melissa.
