This is a thoughtful Haiku about the many critters that are affected by forest fires. After a forest fire many animals are either killed or damaged.
the loss of trees is bad enough.

Kahpot, everything about this presentation is imagery laden...Title, picture,
theme, tone and expressive sparsity all combined to remined me of the recent California fires...Colors and font create a sense of stark realism. teafor2

Excellent haiku poem. Good composition and theme. Beautiful presentation. I like the juxtaposition between roaring flames, silence, and screams.
Well done!

I still remember those horrific fires you had in Australia a few years ago. And we had some terrible ones here on the West Coast and in Canada. Great job with your haiku and the striking contrast of the silencing of the fires with the screams of the dying animals. So much life lost!

Yes, to me the horror of fires is that so many millions of vulnerabkle birds and animals suffer very painful deaths - or otherwsie starve to death because heir habitat has been destroyed. Well said.

It speaks of the tragedy that often is not thought about when a fire rages through the woods. You do an excellent job of bringing reality home to us. Great job thanks for an excellent job of writing a relevant haiku.

I worry about the animals when I see the wild fires on the news. Your words give a voice to the animals that suffer and die in these fires. Excellent nature haiku that creates feelings and emotions.

Yes, we must say a prayer for the critters who die screaming while wildfires burn. Animals matter, too.
Without the creatures who live in forests, we wouldn't be alive today. I, for one, love nature's finest when it comes to trees and creatures who live harmoniously together without the worry of wildfires on their minds.
Let's care for and save the woods and all who live there.

This was a great 4-6-5 haiku! It was very upsetting, but you got your point across. I like that you used the word "critters." Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.
