And so it begins. It's Christmas Eve and the drama, mystery, suspense, and evil, leading up to a new year, has begun. Doyle and Rossi are on the loose, with no rest for the weary. If Jenna can't do anything to protect herself and the baby, I hope she goes in hiding. Matthew and Eleanor won't be able to hover around her. I'm ready for what's next.

Carol,

This is another great story to do a segue back into the next book. You are keeping our memories fresh with these short stories. They are moving right along.

Great job my friend.

You scared me silly with the noises on the porch and the rattling of the doorknob. It's good that Eleanor is there with Jenna, protecting her and the baby. With Doyle and Rossi having escaped, nobody is safe from their evil doings. Great chapter. Blessings. Carol

I think I might have read these chapters in the wrong order but it doesn't matter because I've now got a very strong sense of the danger posed by these two offenders, Ross and Doyle. And, in particular, the danger posed to Eleanor's daughter, Jenna and her baby, Maggie. You skilfully built this scene up, Carol, with excellent tension and anticipation and I even found myself holding my breath. Thank you so much for sharing this intriguing story with Eleanor, already, very much coming into her own. Warm wishes Debbie

Oh...darn. I'm sad that orphans have been killed in what looks like an arranged crash to free the "bad guys" -- Can you bring them back as happy spirits? (Okay, so I am wishing a little too hard I guess)

This is full of action and mystery, and as addictive as all of your other "Eleanor" chapters.

I can't get enough of her!

Are you down south yet?

I hope you're warmer than I am!

Well those masters of deception and with violent tendencies and predispositions are on the loose, and knowing John Doyle's propensity for revenge and mayhem, Jenna, Matthew and Margaret aren't safe, but mind you they've got one or two ghosts to help, well done, Carol, blessings Roy

Sorry I read these two out of order. I  still understood what's going on. I can't wait to read more.

Jenna swallowed hard, her voice barely above a whisper. "What if they come back?" (whisper,)

I don't do cigars anymore; although, I still love the smell of a good one, or blended pipe tobacco bubbling in a bowl. Thanks for sharing chapter three in another of your enjoyable Christmas stories. I'm guessing you're on your way to the Tar Heel state. Have a wonderful Christmas!
