It is unforgivable what mankind has done to the planet and yet we still don't listen when it is clear to see what our destruction is doing. A well written piece, I enjoyed reading it.

Wow, that's a lovely image you have along with your poem.
You know man will deny they are doing any damage at all.
Your poem short but does tell the truth in so many ways.

Thank you so much for your kind review! I'm glad you found the image and poem to be a good pairing.
You're right, it's often difficult to get people to acknowledge the damage they're causing, even when it's quite clear. That's why I felt it was important to highlight the "silent plea" of those who are suffering.
I appreciate you recognizing the truth that the poem conveys, even in its brevity. It's always my goal to pack as much meaning as possible into my work.
Thank you again for your support!

Very effective combination of image and universal words...
None of us is blameless, for to stay silent is to set fire to our very home.
Your "silent plea" speaks loudly! We must listen!

Thank you so much, Karenina, for your insightful review! I'm truly honored by your words.
I'm thrilled that you found the combination of imagery and universal words effective. That was my goal, to create a piece that resonated with a sense of shared experience.
Your interpretation of the "silent plea" speaking loudly is deeply moving. It's exactly the kind of impact I hoped to achieve.
Your final statement, "We must listen!" is a powerful call to action. It reminds us all of the importance of paying attention to the unspoken needs and pleas around us.
Thank you again for your thoughtful feedback. It means a lot to me.

You hit the nail on the head! Man looks at the abundance the Earth has to offer and fails to consider that someday our carelessness could take it all away. If we do not care for what we have, we will cry in vain when it is gone.

Your capture the poem's critical message about environmental responsibility. You succinctly express the idea that humanity often overlooks the consequences of its actions on Earth's resources. Your analogy of crying in vain highlights the urgency of caring for our planet. Thank you for sharing your thoughtful reflections, Carol! Smiles back to you!

Me too, you expressed my heart in few words. Your poem is direct and to the point. All nations should be working together to heal the earth instead of trying to kill each other. If earth dies, we all die.

Well said.
But for most of humanity, all we concern with is a roof over our heads and food on the table. Many of the 7 billion of us don't even have a table to put food on.
Man's recklessness is really a few very selfish, greedy people's exploitations. Most men probably do not pursue recklessly.

Hi Wayne
Your review of "My Silent Plea" captures some profound themes. It addresses the stark reality many face, emphasizing the struggle for basic necessities like shelter and food, which resonates deeply in today's world.
The distinction between the general population and the few who exploit resources adds a critical lens to the discussion, pointing out that most people are not recklessly pursuing their desires but are instead often victims of circumstance. This perspective brings a level of empathy to the conversation about human behavior and societal structures.
Consider all those countries who have stockpiled nuclear deterrence. If they are exchanged then it is game over for mankind.
