Yes, fires (controlled) do help regenerate our lands, though some do cause terrible damage they in their own way try to make up for it, very well written and presented, an excellent Tanka****kahpot

Another fine poem, Gypsy, a reminer in poetry that it's always darkest before the dawn, except that's hard to remember now, isn't it? Hope is hard to find right about now

We can certainly learn a thing or two from the resilience of nature. When we fall, to stand up again.
Very powerful analogy. Loved the tone and shades of the presentation and the imagery it brings.

It's always so clever the way plants can develop strategies to survive and thrive from scorched earth and even from blackened stems. I enjoyed the energy and miracle of this kind of re-birth. Thanks for sharing, Debbie

Let's hope that something good will grow out of the recent political fires. I was wondering if you were referring to the fires in Camarillo. I don't listen to the news anymore so I get my news from prayer mails.

It's about natures' resilience and sentient beings always find a way through. It's also about faith.... lean towards the light.
Thank you very much, big sister. I hope you are having a great weekend.
Love,
Marival ❤️

I thought it was a five line tanka but I doubled check and it has a 2/2/5/7/5 syllables form 😔 I had to change it but kept the topic.

This poem is beautiful and so powerful! The image of flowers emerging through ashes seems to be a symbol of renewal. I love your word choices like "smoldering cinders" and "luminous path". This feels so uplifting Your word choices really lets the imagery shine. Lovely work!

Hi Marival, your Tanka is beautifully written, and nature has way of pushing back after a disastrous fire. Not so people who have lost everything. I follow the devastating fires in California at the moment. My heart bleeds for the terrible losses. Un abrazo, Ulla xxx

Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us. I enjoyed reading. I'm guessing this flower growing through the ashes is hope after a bad experience. Good luck with the contest.
