I like that Danielle has gotten Callum on board with her and has shared the information about Oliver being a person of interest in his wife's murder. And now they are faced with the ultimate danger of leaving...
You're building up some great suspense as well as plot progression.
Well done, my friend,
Rhonda

That's great news, she's planning to get out of there and I hope she's got the courage to do this. Her adoptive parents must be wondering by now what on earth has happened to her. She seems to have forgotten her excuse of a holiday. Callum proves here that he is a good and loyal friend to her. An excellent read. Well done, Jacob. Debbie
I'd go (to) the station
(like how it's) always portrayed - maybe simply 'as'
Callum's helping (to) set the table (just reads a bit smoother)

Now she realizes she has placed not only herself and Callum in danger but also her family and Callum's. Her brother really needs to tell her more to keep her safe, if he will at this point since Noah has been killed.

Noah's words haunt the back of my mind; they'll come after everyone we love. I hadn't taken him too seriously at the time, now the dawning realisation of what he meant hits me like a sledgehammer. (AMEN!!!!! Finally, Danielle sees the danger they're in. I really like this story, a lot. Maybe Sarah and Max will help them.

Another great chapter. I'm really curious about what Danielle is chasing. I suppose that was in earlier chapters of the book that I must go back and read, so I can see the big picture. Like always hanging on the edge of my seat.

You know I do. You have a real talent. Look into the writer's market 100th edition. It has a ton of publishers and agents in it. Try that it can't hurt.

I'm glad you is realizing she isn't going to find out a lot more at the place and the Collum is willing to do whatever she wants. I think he cares more about Danielle than as just a good friend. It doesn't sound as if he has fallen under Eve's spell. Danielle is thinking Oliver did have something to do with his wife's death.

This is an intriguing chapter, developing a plot skillfully. The characters are interacting, and the writer is conveying a tale of suspense, constructing a stage maybe for a conflict or escape. This chapter creates a sense of anticipation for the reader. Well done.

Now it finally settles on her what danger she and the others are in! Oliver isn't going to let her go easily and he might not care (that's a joke) what he has to do to keep her there... Good one, Jacob! Now let's see how they manage (if they do) to escape.
