This almost seems like it will be a kidnapping at the beginning. But It has a happy ending with father and son trick or treating together in costume.

Halloween can be scary for any child trick or treating alone. I like how you set the scene in your opening lines. I can imagine how that whisper could terrify the boy. What is especially delightful is that it's a FATHER who goes treating with his son. So often it is the mother. Rod

This poem, Halloween Fright, tells a quick story that sets us in the street with dad and son making the rounds of the candy-giving neighborhood. This tale would be perfected with the addition of a closing quotation mark after junior's last utterance. Fun times for kids and nice parents.
