So, Debi Pick Marquette, when is this aging thing going to start happening to you? Your writing still has a youthful bounce to it. Your pic seems happy, that in itself is a sign that youth still resides. Most importantly, I notice that you show love to the other writers when we review. That behavior will never grow old. Probably just put the spilled milk back in the glass and take a big drink, because you are ALRIGHT!

reminds me of my Mother's attitude. She always said on her birthday, She was celebrating her 39th birthday again. when she was in more cynical mood she would say, "who needs birthdays? A birthday just means you are one year closer to the grave."

Hello Debi,
it sounds like you had a delightful birthday. I don't pay them much attention anymore, but my family likes to make a big deal about them for some reason. Last year my daughter, who is a baker at a local cafe' baked me a green Hoochy cake. Hoochies, in case you're not familiar, are vinyl octopus fishing lures that drag behind a flasher to attract primarily salmon. I loved it, and encouraged her to make some more for sale at the bakery to appeal to the other fishermen, but she never took my advise, probably to the bakery's detriment. Oh well.

Thank you sis, for a lovely review and comments. Also for the generous six stars. You are so sweet and if you would have heard my conversation with the voice to text deal you would have been rolling on the floor. It was just being a jerk when I was trying to not have to type so much, but it wouldn't listen. I would even spell out the word and it would still put the wrong word. So I said FU and it said it back to me. I mean i said just the letters F and U. And it spelled out the whole word at me. Ooh, this thing makes me mad.

A great friend of mine said "Old is 15 years older than I am". Some days I wake up feeling ancient. Others it just doesn't matter. My hubby is 10 years younger. With his curly hair and blue eyes, dimples and cleft in his chin he appears a LOT younger. Thankfully he turned gray. You look much younger than 70 in your picture.

Hi Esther, my profile picture was taken on my 65th birthday. I don't look a lot different now so thank you so much. Except that I did gain a little weight since then. So thank you for asking me to join your last contest. It was a lot of fun someplace going back some place I haven't been for a long time at five years old.LOL...
