What a wonderful sharing of sight and hearing and, most importantly, the whirlwind feelings of a teen in love... beautifully done, my lady!! ;) Thanx for sharing that piece of you! ;) Yvette

So romantic and so sensual, yet so innocent. Those are the best kind, and I honestly believe the most sensual because our imagination takes over. Thank you for sharing this perfect poem and perfect presentation with us.

I feel so sad thinking about how you were separated from your first love. We can't imagine how life would have been if you stayed in Spain but I'm glad we met here. Our real first love is God Who loved us from before we were born.

Sometimes I think about going back to Spain but I couldn't live so far away from my children. If I didn't come to the usa I wouldn't have my precious children and grandchildren... and you
It all worked out for the best.
The first time I went back to Spain he had a girlfriend, they are probably married and with children. He was the only man that treated me with true love.

💖 We all have regrets. But you are a blessing here and all the lives you touched in your work. So God had a plan for you. He's our real love anyway.

There really isn't any feeling quite like that first pang of love. The hopefulness, the butterflies. It is a fabulous feeling. Beautifully written. Gretchen

This is beautifully written and presented, your words being as sensuous as the image. The writing has a sense of lingering and sad regret. It's a very poignant piece. Well done.

Your love is always quite emotionally charged. Your wirds express this feeling very well. The theme is also quite revealed by the volor scheme.l have never forgotten my first love and I believe it made me a stronger and wider man.

"Tonight," an exceptional poem about a recalled relationship, uses free verse in short lines to present recollections, visual and sensual, about a long ago love. I best liked the couplet "Sunrises and sunsets/drowned in our eyes."

A lovely, mesmerising free verse about loss and memories of the past, beautifully presented. I enjoyed the way it starts and finishes with the same word, 'tonight,' giving the verse a very satisfying sense of completion and resolution. Thanks for sharing. Debbie
