This is a winner. I can feel it. Nothing beats a story with horses, beauty, gods and evil lurking. I don't know where you get great pictures. I didn't find anything to stumble over in the reading and would have given a six but out. Esther

This is a very interesting story with an unexpected problem. The simple horse ride in the woods becomes an attempt at kidnapping. White Lightning carries Diantha out of danger, but Cassie is left behind pinned under her fallen horse. Looking forward to what happens next.

It appears White Lightning may be one of the immortal horses like the one the twins bargained for.
Wasn't Dianthe the name of Theo's mother? Or is that just a coincidence?

It is no coincidence on the names. This is a prequel to the last book. It is the history of the parents of Theo.
Also, good job on nailing who the guy was that came after Diantha. He will still be in the next chapter.
White Lightning isn't immortal, but she is the dam of Nifty, the one's the Twins ended up with in the sequel.
