Hi Bill,
I wonder if it was the angels who were filled with anger. They had to witness God coming down here to Earth to save our sorry souls. He left His home in glory and became a common man, to die upon a Roman cross for the sins of the world. Did the angels sense danger watching Him in that manger. And it made them angry?
Or, was it Satan who was angry because he knew he would be defeated? All he could do now was take as many of us as possible to the fiery pit with him. That might appease his fury.
Interesting to think about, Bill.
Cheers,
Kimbob

Ciao!

Your poem reminded me of Jesus' birth.

He was born in a manger and had escaped from danger cause King Herod full of anger had ordered that all males under the age of two in Bethlehem were to be slaughtered because he feared that this "newborn king" announced by the three Magi would someday take his throne.

A fun poem as you identify anger in these two words, I suppose banger, clanger and hanger would be more appropriately filled with anger, love Dolly x x x

Very well said, there seems to be a lot of these words around, one that rings true for me is "stranger" of whom we must be wary, a very well written 5-7-5 poem****kahpot

-A very good presentation, Bill.
-You wrote a very good poem with a good topic.
-You have also made a very good observation,
and it is ironic about the nature of these words.
-A good entry; good luck in the contest.

And if people these days would stop the violence and reflect on the teachings of the one whom they adored in the Manger in Bethlehem, get rid of their Anger, maybe the world would not be in so much Danger.

it is easy to see that being placed in a state of danger, could fill a person with anger. In an attempt to heal, they would search for a way to deal in a way that would appeal to a sense of justice.

Bill,

Most interesting analogy posed by your post today! Apparently, there are hidden messages in our words. The rhetoric spouted by our current politicians is not hidden in any manner.

Bravo! Well done with the play with words. Danger definitely has signs of showing tendencies of trouble and anger, but not manger, I don't think. One is the birthplace of Jesus, and only a non-believer might find anger, but how could they for a sweet child? Then, if hot sauce is involved, eating could bring some anger to the stomach. Who am I to question or even try to understand?

I believe "manger" is filled with love for all. It is man who exhibited anger. Thanks for another of your three-liners with a strong message. As I said, this seems to be your forte.
