First of all this was amazing. You wrote about truths in a subtle but meaningful way. Second, it is beautifully written and flows so nicely. I am looking forward to reading more.

Richard,
Thank you for your 6-star review. Eight years ago I began this journey as a novice poet and writer and have over the years learned from many of the best and most talented writers and poets who have all been inspired and encouraged me to become a better writer. I'm overwhelmed and surprised by the 10 wins I've received in the past two months.
You have been a wonderful reviewer of my poems and writings and I appreciate your help and encouragement in helping me to achieve success.
All the best,
Eugene

Eugene,
Your story is like mine. I too began as a novice writer. That learned from others and the reviews. I looked at each as a learning tool. All have helped me to be a better writer.
You should be proud of your wins. They represent the writer/poet you have become. I am looking forward to reading more from you.
Richard

This is such a powerful poem! It serves to tell the truth of the prejudice in this world toward those with a different skin color than white. It is very well written. Great job and happy writing!

This is an interesting and sad free verse. I'm not even sure black and white are colors, or degrees of light. The context of the poem is a bit, no, I'll be honest, it's very, very biased and sad. The world is not black and white, and neither are all the people, but... this poem paints a skewed and dishonest view of the world. I live in Chicago, and I know who is killing, robbing, burglarizing, and so much more... I know, who fills the prisons, make the schools war zones and the streets dangerous to walk through. Are their bad cops (of all colors) yes, there are bad people of all colors. Oh, well... we all know the truth, but sometimes a lie is easier to digest.
Good luck.
