This poem, Springfest, brings the readers into the early spring with the luring thrill of the daffodils and the green enchantment that is forever present on the sturdy trees.

Spring and its many and varied signs is celebrated here, most filled with color after the long dark wintry months have finally ended-vibrant colors here in this poem remind the reader of this wonderful season.

What a pretty poem. I like poems that rhyme, and this one has a definite rhyme structure of abaab and very strict iambic pentameter. Plus it makes me smile with its beautiful description (including the required color of the prompt), and personification of nature -- ex. "bob their pretty heads and flounce around."

I really enjoyed the energy in your poem! I love how you described daffodils "bobbing" and "flouncing"! The way you bring everything together is perfect. You share such a beautiful picture of spring. So well written.

Flowers are surely a sign that there is an evidence of rulership in this universe that is not only a balance and order in creation, and to my way of thinking is unimpeachable, beautifully written. Good luck, Blessings Roy

What a beautifu vision your words have painted. I love when the gorgeous yellow heads of daffodils pop from the ground and dance in the wind announcing spring is here. It's so uplifting.
Smiles, Carol

Hello!

This is a wonderful expression with lots of personification:

---daffodils "bob their pretty heads and flounce around."
---"breezes tease"
---"rains revive"
---"evergreens in festive dress astound"

All of these examples bring this poem to life, displaying an energy that most poems lack. Very well done! Good luck in the contest!

Patrick
