Wow, your writing has so much energy. I love how you share Clyde's deep affection with Jane Ann. The way you capture their love and zest for life, makes the story so heartfelt. The tragic turn is handled with such rawness. Your storytelling drew me in and makes me feel every twist and turn. Brilliantly done!

Wow! What a fantastic review. For that I am invigorated. My wife has a bunch of kisses coming!

What a sad ending! And now I understand the introduction. Full circle story. I got the general idea at the end but had to keep reversing everything in my mind as we drive on the left. A fine story.

Thank you. The rest of the story is not a Ben Persons, or even Ohmie story, but hopefully people can connect at least a bit.

I know the upside down world of promotions. I have not read your other strories this is the first one. I loved it. That clyde lost his dearly beloved is the pits but, the story is first rate.

This sounds a little biographical, Wayne:-) Didn't you tell me once that you met your wife at a camp ground or trailer park?
I like how you began this story with a rant about trucks and killing them softly with some yet-to-be-engineered piece of technology; then you slid into the reason you wanted to do this through your story of romance and adventure.
Well, that was not the ending I expected at all! You might want to end it as you began . . . looking for a ray gun for trucks.
Sorry about your troubles posting - it's positively maddening sometimes.
Happy trails to you:-)

Thank you.
Your ray gun idea is great for this post. I could just leave it out of the completed piece since readers would be going into the next part right away.

This was fun to read except for the loss of Jane Ann. I've not taken any road trips lately but having truckers doing all their driving in the passing lane would be enough to make one crazy.
For some reason this one came through twice.

I'm having a fit of a time with the FanStory program. Tom is trying to help. Sorry for the confusion.
