Ciao Harambe , you now have 3 votes
Yes poor Harambe paid with his life, the parents of the 4 year old kid are to blame. Children need to be watch especially when out and about.
I am convinced Harambe would not have harmed the kid , he was far more intelligent than those stupid parents.
I enjoyed the several links you provided. The one about the little people getting drunk and running around nude on the balcony during the premiere of Pinocchio.
I say , who the heck provided booze .. obviously the situation was going to degrade.
As for shocking the kids , let's not forget that children stars like Shirley Temple and Judy Garland were mistreated . Shirley was regularly groped and the studio gave Garland amphetamines so she could keep up with the long working hours.
I read that banana plants are dying .. this will be a big issue for humanity as the banana is a very important fruit for billions of people that have limited food ?
I also read that in the wild gorillas are actually not big bananas eaters.
Your entry was packed with interesting treats. I learned a lot!

Great spot of that video (the one link on this piece that was not one of my own writing pieces, and thus the most interesting). I am not 100% sure that it is true, but of course Disney would seem to bury such reports as much as possible.
Yes I have heard the same about those two actresses being mistreated. Though maybe they were lucky compared to what happened to the green witch in that original film!
Yeah gorillas mainly eat green stuff apparently. Of course that is less exciting to write about. I think what you read about banana plants probably applies to the current Cavendish strain. The previous one was apparently sweeter. Eventually they will have to move to another species, or genetically engineer it somehow. Maybe we have talked about this before? I think so.
Thanks Tempeste for the thoughtful review and extra star -- much appreciated! This is the closest thing to an extended anthology I have published to date, with the links covering about 20% of the posts I have written here to date.

Hopefully I'll find SOMETHING to make me laugh in your portfolio? What DOESN'T make me laugh. Harambe one hilarious writer/politician/gorilla/comedian...or and a CHAMELEON!!! All that changing in order to be able to enter contests of someone who didn't like you? How elitist of her! Too bad she's not smarter than a gorilla; that's why I say!!

Poor Harambe! I hope he can come back. I remember his sad story. Personally, I'd never touch plantains. I mean bananas have to be yellow and speckled for me to go near them, not hard and crunchy.
As ever, Simian, your post is witty and fun with plenty of tongue in cheek humour which is always entertaining and couldn't possibly be offensive! Small edit: last sentence - delete 'be'
Thanks for sharing and good luck! Debbie

Brilliantly funny and inventive. And the use of concatenated links is inspired and so difficult to pull off in the context of a coherent, integral story. A tour de force.
Bravo!

Thank you for sharing this writing prompt entry with us. Of course, as usual you kept me completely entertained as I read. I smiled as I read.
Just more stoopid. (stupid or is it on purpose?)

Thought so, but wanted to make sure.

Thank you for checking! I do often have edits fall through the cracks especially on stories, which I tend to type up really fast at the last minute.
