Nicely done. I like the visual of a child's feet in the sand and think of those times when I was once that young. The words are a perfect fit. Thanks for sharing a memory. Be well and good luck in the contest.

It was really hard to read this poem, with the dark text against a dark-purple background. However, I really like the poem itself. It followed the required 2-4-6-8 syllable count in the writing prompt. I love that it also has some rhyme. I prefer poems that rhyme. I also like poems that make me smile, and this one definitely made me smile with a memory of burying my dad in the sand at Virginia Beach!

This is such a joyful poem! The playful rhythm of tiptoeing down the hill to a warm beach really made me smile. It feels like a carefree adventure! You managed to capture a moment of pure happiness. Absolutely charming!

The Speaker sounds like a mother singing a song to her child as they climb a hill together, then race down it to the sandy beach. Your camera records this mother/child experience very well. Rod
