HarryT,
Congrats on your win in the A Heavenly Chat Contest. You've written a well crafted conversation with the former 16th President with great skill which is both both profound and insightful as it interweaves the gist of the current political contest into the conversation with great relevancy.
All the best,
Eugene

Well done! This is a wonderful conversation with an incredible leader that I too would love to have shared a bit of time with. Maybe one day your soul and his will meet, and have this conversation.

I enjoyed listening to Lincoln express his views about TODAY, the Republican Party, and the major issues of his time and ours. I also like how he manages to quote his own well-know lines before he leaves. Rod

An interesting conversation! I agree that Lincoln would be switching parties about now, if he were alive. Lots of good information that shows a knowledge of history and an understanding of the present times. One slight mix-up on your speakers: 'Yes sir, Mr. Lincoln... You mentioned a book.... (You wrote this as if you started speaking, but it should shift to Lincoln saying the part about the book.) Otherwise, interesting dialogue. Carol

What a delightful and thought provoking story. The humor and wit in Lincoln's responses were perfect. And I think historically accurate! The way you sh are history with current affairs is impressive! I appreciate the way you captured Lincoln's voice. And the subtle way you navigate modern political issues. This is a fantastic read that both entertains and makes you think!

Ah, this was more the style I was hoping for when I posted the contest. I'll pass on commenting on the content as you and I have gone around on this topic before, but I definitely like your format.
