I think you have all the traits of a haiku with the honeysuckle referring to the season as well as the "summer" at the last line. The broader meaning of "weaving dreams" works as the satori. Best wishes in the contest!

Thank you, Helen, for drawing attention to the satori. It led me to study its meaning in poetry.

A lovely entry for the contest, and a beautiful image too. The haiku brings to mind the sensory aspects of summer - sight, sound, scent, and even taste (we used to suck on the sweet nectar within). Best wishes.

This is beautiful for the haiku poetry contest. I don't quite understand haiku style but your poem gives me the right idea to learn. Beautiful poem and picture.

I thought this was well written. Your choice of words beautifully captures a perfect summer evening. This haiku feels so delicate. This is going to leave a lasting impression - and it's just a few lines.

A lovely haiku poem as we bid goodbye to summer and that delicious honeysuckle. I have a fence full in early summer but it's waning now. I still catch s whiff. A ribbon winner for sure. Sending you my nest today as always and my nest wishes for the contest.
