The moon will be with us for our lifetimes at least. Thank you for sharing your God given talent with us again. The poem and the presentation are both wonderful.

This is well presented, the satori that follows the dash answers the question how her life is reconciled with friendship she has found in the harvest moon. As I read this, its imagery took me back to Shakespeare's, "A Midsummer Night's Dream."
Well done.

I did think about 'a midsummer night's dream' but there is no relation between the title and the poem.

I love this one Gypsy. I love the shift just before the last line. This is a really good modern haiku. I could feel the sentiment of the person you speak of in the haiku.
Beautifully done.

Unfortunately, this is a sad but true poem. Sometimes the widow or widower gets forgotten just like the deceased. It's as if they both died. They are mourned but slowly, life goes on around the survivor. It takes great friends and a supportive family to alleviate that. Great poem. Melancholy. Gretchen

After my ex-husband and I got a divorce, I lost all our friends. But I had a loving family so that is alright. Thank you very much, Gretchen

The moon is a faithful friend even if the other friends aren't as reliable. Sometimes it's like that. Either the friends were closer to him or the friends are used to meeting as a couple, or they feel awkward as to how to comfort her. It happens often. Well said.

The silence of death permeates and leaves us feeling lonely and we make the most of the peace and learn to appreciate smaller pleasures, I can identify with your words here, a fine post, love Dolly x
