You have bared your soul in this piece, which I hope has been therapeutic for you. I felt your pain and your love at the same time. That can be a great emotional war; which it seems you have won.
Best,
RFL

A revealing and powerful love letter. Congratulations on your first post and allow me to encourage you to continue writing your heart. It truly has a cleansing effect on the soul. I like your brutal honesty and your sweeping confession of love indicating that faults do not destroy the bond of family. I like the redemptive feeling in the end which feels hopeful and triumphant particularly the line, "but I'm here now, the curse breaker." This has an immeasurable spiritual impact which transcends the secular. I pray life continues to carry you forward and your testimony inspire others.

This is a very poignant read as you continually repeat that despite everything you still love your father. As you say, this write was therapy for you part of your hoping to move forward without all these emotions. Just a couple of typos
-knight and (in) shining armor
you put your selfish needs before mines (mine)
but im (I'm) here now
Well done and good luck in the contest.
