I like it! It states a universal truth. You could've said that each beats his own drum. But what you have is fine
You're basically saying that each person is unique and you're giving examples of two different types of people
I hope I'm the kind that has an open mind
It should be each has a drum Each is a singular subject. It is in both your poem and your notes
Actually saying their for a singular noun is also not correct. He/his/him is normally used.
So
each has his own drum
I enjoyed reading your poem
