Hi Kace, go on and rant anytime you want to...
sometimes people need to wake up...I can't stand
when I see people living in tents...or even just sleeping
on the streets...I have never seen anything like we had now...
miles and miles and miles of just straight homeless with
nowhere to go...most all on drugs...

just help when you can...I believe things will get better soon...
a very well worded rant my wonderful friend...I do hope you do
feel better...sometimes sharing what bothers us with others...
helps us live with things around us...

well done sweet girl...very well spoken...and your picture
is just priceless...tell Benny I love him and you too...
I didn't forget him in your last posts...I'm just getting old...
he is so precious...you can feel the love you have for each other...
love you...Linda xxoo

Thank you for your rant that is Biblically-based! And I agree - that we must not be pointing fingers but humbly seek to love one another. Great examples. What makes me rant is that a man who is not a Christian has profited by selling Bibles for $1,000 just for his signature. May the Lord cause him to repent.
Best wishes in the contest!

"Material wealth will not buy a place in heaven. We came with nothing, we shall return with nothing. While we walk this earth we can help those less fortunate. Australia is a wealthy country. Instead of buying Lotto tickets, think of your brother and sister living in a tent." >>
Amen! Same here in Canada.

"Pointing the finger is judging a person by your standards. Once, a man asked Jesus, "How many times should I forgive? Seven times?" Jesus replied, "No, 77 times." In other words, we should always forgive someone who had offended us." << Yes. We will be judged by the same measure.

"Jesus wasn't all sugar and spice. Remember he whipped the moneychangers for using His Father's House. << Love it! Thank you!
Know the truth and it will set you free."

I have only one (minor) suggestion for this excellent essay --
" Write a rant. I think I will. I am so fed up with those pointing the finger at persons they don't like or are jealous of." <
Go win this contest!

Oh heck, I have to point out one more gem -- "To be humble isn't weakness, it shows strength of character." << Amen, sister!

Hello Dawn, Thanks so much for reading. I try to reach people who don't know the Lord. I write many poems and always include something from the Bible, all tucked away in my memory. Blessings from Kay in Australia! XX

I think it is a shame that people cannot have a debate anymore without being nasty. People seem to think, that unless people have the same opinion as them, that it gives them the right to call those who disagree with them every name under the sun and worse. There are a lot of people, who I know, who I don't agree with, but I'll always respect them and their right to their own opinion. I thought you did a great job with this piece and I wish more people would think like this.

Hello Jacob, Many thanks for reading and agreeing.
So much anger and hate in our World today. Yes, respect has gone out the window, replaced with greed. Blessings, Kay.

You're so right on with your sentiments here. Sometimes it takes time and maturity to learn what's really important in life. Let's hope those wings on humility will fly far and wide spreading the good word.
A very worthy rant. Thank you.

I've never been much for scripture, but common sense should still count, even when everything else goes out the window. Sadly, it seems that the world struggle with that as well.

Thanks for reading. Common sense has gone out the window. Anger and hate seemed to have taken over from caring about our fellow man. K.

I doubt they may think of that, I've had the privilege of talking to the homeless, I can remember talking to an accountant, were his life became mess, and actually chose to sleep under a tree, but he said he preferred to live that way, all sorts of stories on the streets, most didn't choose that life, life chose it, the parable of the beggar, Lazarus, and the rich man is good, beautifully written Kay, blessings Roy

I have to say, this works as a rant should. Some things I understand, and some went by me. It is filled with emotions and goes from one point to another, with no solutions, just raw emotions. Well done.

notes:

I see children fighting over a toy = {US parliament.}

- not sure what this is or means.

It means that parliament has turned into a kindergarten and fighting doesn't win the Presidency. Thank you for reading. K xx

How despicable is the Council locking up the showers so they can't be used. Many of the people living in tents over the last couple of years would never have thought they would be in that position. This is a good rant, and well said K. Love the author notes and photo of you and Benny.
cheers,
valda

It's me again. Thanks for reading my friend. I would like to see a councillor living in a tent without a shower! Thanks Valda, K xx

A terrific rant if I must say so myself. Letting people know that we have to stop picking on others or putting them down. We need to pull together and help those who are in need, not make fun of them. You did a great job!

Hi Carol, Nice to meet a new friend. Yes, we need to pull together. For instance, some judge me because of my wheelchair, they don't see the person. K xx
