Sad commentary on our political system, but I do get your point. While I respect your humor, your rhythm needs a bit more work. I'd like to suggest:
There once was a war betwixt two
One candidate red, one was blue
But then some back-room boys
Thought they'd run a turquoise
For voters, they said, had no clue

ff there were a good third-party candidate, I'd certainly vote for him or her. I don't like any of the candidates, regardless of what their affiliation is. Great limerick and clever idea. Best of luck in the contest. Suggestion: make the words in your limerick stand out more by using a darker font. Needs more contrast. judi

Thank you for sharing this political contest entry with us. I am already fed up with politics. I so wish we had a candidate who I could fully support. I know who I am not going to support at all, but the other choice isn't great either.
