I have always wanted to see the aurora borealis. I know I would be in awe of them. Your poem is bittersweet, yet with an air of hope. I like that. Once again, you outdid yourself.

This is so clever the way your beautiful representation, both in poetry and depiction, of the aurora borealis, captures the light of nature (sparrows) and enduring life within the darkness of loss and grief. Well done and thank you for sharing, Gypsy. Take care Debbie

Of course I'm going to give you a six for this. It's such a deep poem. Do you mean that the person physically died or just the love that united them died. This is such a deeply moving poem. My mind drawing conclusions this way and that. Beautifully written. Gretchen

Hello, Gretchen. The poem is about the night and about a lover or husband who died.

Thank you very much, Gretchen. I appreciate your exceptional six stars review and kind words.

Love can die in the dark but the feelings and yearnings remain. I liked "covered with a veil of stars." and "soul full of celestial lights." I liked how the narrator could see the sparrows guarding their nests and see that life still goes on without the faithless lover.

Hi Gypsy

I love the photos, but where is the artwork that you did? Is it in the presentation of the poem?

I know you write free verse and with a lot of passion and you write with a lot of emotions and a lot of descriptive imagery that you can almost see in your mind. I admire that about you. You're a good.Poet

Does an aurora borealis ever suddenly go black in the sky? If not, then it wouldn't be totally dark, but I think we're talking about the metaphor dark which means pitch black and then I'm getting too analytical.

This is in your signature style, which I like very much

I enjoyed reading your poem

Good job. Thank you for sharing.

I do more than adding pictures. My presentations take longer than writing the poem.

    Thank you very much, Pam.

Another fine poem, Gypsy------and a rather forelorn one, don't know why but the image of the northern lights seems to match the mood of loss and melancholy
