The fact of the matter is that we all have those times when we feel overwhelmed, as if we were going over the edge. I have had more than my share as well. Your illustration, combined with your words create the perfect imagery of this feeling, "a perfect storm" as it were.

I remember the title of an old movie and perhaps it's based on a book - "Ship of Fools." Humans with or without mental illness tend to value the wrong things and go "overboard." Enjoyed your word play!
