Whether one likes Trump or not, it's sad in our society a presidential candidate is fired upon. It makes me wonder what the Secret Service was doing and exactly who's behind these attempts, and why? It also makes me wonder why anybody would be happy at an attempt on someone's life.

But he was right in his belief that he is invincible. the bullet miraculously grazed over his ear .A grazed ear is now like a statement for him that goes brandishing arounf .the sad part is that people also wore the ear band emulating him .what a shame!

Even worse today; had a racial slur at Kamala Harris. Her mother Jamaican and father indian. Trump will turn people away, especially coloured folks. You live on and Island, yes? Kay xx

No one could dispute any of this 6 word verse, Kay. Certainly mouthing off as is his wont, shots fired and the slightest of injury, probably from something less dramatic than a bullet. But he will change the truth of that to his own advantage. A shame that he thinks this is the iconic image to get him the presidency. Well done and good luck! Debbiexx

Hey Michael, Thanks for reading. I wouldn't call it a poem. Rather a statement. Then he said he took a bullet for democracy. I think he had his ear pierced.

I heard that the ear injury wasn't due to the bullet as previously reported but due to shrapnel.
His inflammatory rhetoric has caused so much division and attacks on Asian Americans.
But I do pray that he will repent and humble himself before the Lord.
You chose quite a controversial topic for your poem for the contest.

He won't repent, he thinks he is Jesus, as he said in court. I wonder what he would be like if he wasn't a billionaire? T for Trump and T for trouble. K xx
