I liked your approach in this poem. Questions as to forgiveness, which are then answered simply and forcefully ... Jesus did. Thanks for sharing and please take care and have a wonderful day.

Verna dear, this is just so beautiful and sacred. The repeated message of, "Could you, would you?" drives it home. Jesus was and is our shining example of forgiveness. Sending you my best today as always.

This is a wonderfully written poem and I enjoyed it very much. It makes us all stop short and think about would we or could we do the things that Jesus did for us as he lived his life and I don't not cross thank you so much for sharing this wonderful poem. Pat.

Excellent poem about our Christ of love and forgiveness. It's hard to follow his steps but it's a good goal.

Well done

This is a very powerful poem that asks an important question. While we are all only human, we should try to aspire to forgive as Jesus did. A very good point you've made.

I was wondering where this was headed. Then I came to the final verse, and all became clear. A most inspirational verse and one from which we should all learn. Having Faith is such a valuable asset, and this poem verifies that belief.

Yes, He did. A fitting, and solemn conclusion to your series of questions. I don't believe any of us couls. We would want to explain, justify, protest, defend ourselves. He is a worthy Saviour. Thank you for sharing.

M-m-m-m an interesting series of important questions posed here for the reader as to what one might be able to endure, including false accusations and allegiance to a cause or purpose and ultimately reminding the reader that is what 'Jesus did' for the human race.

Thank you for a great review. Those questions humble me, but I'm very thankful that Jesus fulfilled every prophecy for Him.

A great meditation for us, Verna! If we ever feel injustice of any kind, we only have to remember Jesus, His life, and His obedience to the Father, and His great forgiveness of us all.

Thank you, Helen, for reviewing with understanding and agreement. I'm glad you found it a worthy meditation. I'm reading in John for my devotions right now, and the way Jesus was treated always makes me sad. Still I'm glad He endured to forgive all our sins. I hope you have a great week, my friend.

Me, too. Whenever I get to the trial and crucifixion I get so upset! I know how the story ends but it still bothers me.

Your strong faith, Verna, is, as ever, to the fore here in your soul-searching free verse urging us to remember the challenges faced by Jesus and wonder if we too could forgive in the circumstances. I think the answer has to be in the negative. Powerfully done! Thanks for sharing. Debbie
