Very good! I remember those days of traveling to see relatives far away and riding in the back of the car. It was hot and uncomfortable. You have very good detail of what a child would experience on a trip like this. I really enjoyed your story!

This is a good story. I don't think I've heard the word "chuntering" before. And how did Dad turn green? Lol. Usually your face turns red when you're angry, unless he felt sick from the smoking? The picture feels kind of weird though, and it doesn't really match the context or feel of a hectic road trip. I also like the "de-sheep-ful" as deceitful, since they're too little to understand the word and related it to something that it sounds like. A good way to use the child's-point-of-view aspect.

You captured the car journey really well and I loved the ending with the inevitable question that comes with travelling with children. An engaging piece, I really enjoyed it.

Oh yes, no wonder our kids learn a new language that comes in the anger and frustration of a parent, and then they learnt manipulation, heh heh, love it, I'm sure I did too, beautifully written, good luck, blessings Roy
