Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us. Yes, death often does take our loves ones away from us, yet the love and the longing remain. I could feel the emotion in this poem. Good luck with the contest.

I loved the whole concept of this poem. Turning it into a love poem between a killer and death is so imaginative and original. In many ways it probably isn't too far from how killers actually feel. Very good luck in the contest.

Hi, Mia. I hope you are well
This looks like a good entry for the contest. Good luck with that!!
I know serial killers like to kill. Sometimes the psychotic ones carve up their victims and place one body part here and another part there here a part there s part everywhere a part part.
They also like to sing old McDonald's Farm just said tails a part here and a part there
There was a guy in California Northern California in the 70s and the late 60s who would take girls who hitchhikers and killed them and put their body parts in different places. One hand would roll up on the beach and an arm would be somewhere else and the head would be over here.
Two personal things about him. One of the ladies at the bridge club was the mother of one of his victims. She is the one whose hand washed up on the beach and her head in the mountains
Also, my husband who was drunk and disorderly spent a night in jail with him. He said that the guy didn't threaten him at all, even though he was 6'8" tall and definitely not skinny. No girl would have any chance against him.
I was hitchhiking in those days, but I didn't get in a car with a lone man unless he was elderly. Kemper may have just charmed the pants off of them
Jeffrey Dahmer did the same thing. He would rape young boys drug them and kill them then he would cut their body parts and put them in the freezer. And there was evidence that he was chewing on one of them before the police game. What was really sad was the police came when there was a 16-year-old boy, who was screaming, and the neighbors called the police and Dahmer explained it away. They never talked to the boy. Those assholes. It's just a fight between lovers he said even though the boy is only 16.
That boy could've been rescued if he'd been arrested that night. Not to mention the other boys, he killed between then, and when he was arrested.
Here. Was it just part of the victim or the blood of the victim that went down the drain? And, I'm assuming our is the killer and Satan
" watching our victim circle the drain"
I enjoyed reading your poem
Good job. Thank you for sharing.

You're right that it's twisted, but you wrote it well. I'm glad you put a "violence" warning on this post. This was a very creative take on the "love poem" contest. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.
