This was perfect timing to read tonight with the fireworks going off all around us and I'm reading about the fireworks and shootout right in this chapter! Glad that the bad guys have been arrested and well, sadly, for the unrepentant Louie and Marco, their end.

Their plan had worked better than expected as Louie and Marcos have permanently left the house. The rest of the bad guys have been captured and the "treasure" can mostly be reclaimed. Now for the search for the real treasure. This is a good chapter with lots of excitement and you added in the hunt for the real treasure to keep the reader reading.

I've fallen so much in love with this story (after hating it in the beginning) that I find myself getting up in the middle of the night and writing. I think better in the still of the night, and the story just unfolds. I'm glad I didn't disappoint with Louie and Marcos's attempt to escape. For some reason, I always want to give these characters more dimension than just bad guys or ghosts. Now, we move on to the search and finding the treasure. I hope it's not a letdown. LOL
