This was a great poem for the "30 syllable poetry" writing prompt. You used some great descriptions, and I enjoyed your rhymes. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

This is an excellent entry in the 30 Syllables contest. You paint a beautiful picture of the dawn of the new day welcomed by Nature's chorus of of songbirds. The poem flows smoothly when read and the imagery of the rhymes enhances the vision of a medley of birds singing, greeting the day.

All the best in the contest,

with a good topic.
-Effective imagery and rhyme.
-Very good opening lines set the scene
with the addition of alliteration for emphasis.
-Your poem reads like a tanka with a
good pivot line in the middle.
-Very good concluding lines.

This is a lovely poem and really great entry for the writing prompt for a 30 syllables poem.
I work from home and my office (as I call it) is in the corner of my kitchen and I love to bird watch through the day, we get sparrows and magpies, thrushes, blue tit, blackbirds, robins and even seagulls from time to time when neighbours put out leftovers for them to feed on. We live by the coast you see.
Such an enjoyable poem, well done

Very beautiful short poem, and one which celebrates the joyful birds. Nature greets each new day so much better than we do. Best wishes for your entry.

What an excellent picture you have chosen to represent your excellent 30 syllable poem contest entry. I don't know where you live but I can't imagine having all those different birds in my yard. I'm jealous. I love the poem. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much! I am fortunate to have a large yard with lots of gardens which I tend to let overgrow so it's a haven for birds and insects. While I do live in a busy village, there is much nature surrounding so it feels more rural.
