Excellent! A very strong message at the end of a well expressed and constructed story about a wish to return to what was perceived as the glorious past, only to find that the reality, as so often happens in dreams, is never what it seems. Well done and good luck! Debbie

This is truly a tragic less, one from which we all can learn. The protagonist naively wished for the past, and found himself in a world of horror.
Your description of "hell" is an excellent one-/what a horrible way to spend eternity.

I must admit, I'm aware that history is written by the victors, not by the oppressed, it would read decidedly different if it was written by the vanquished, it would expose the fallacy of man's glory to his shame, a super write my friend, blessings Roy

He saw something antique and wanted it and when he opened the genie gave him his wish. This wish caused him to have a different view of the past and today was not as bad as he thought it was. So that straighten his mind up.

This is one of the works I have enjoyed reading the most. In a limited amount of words, there was a substantial story told that can be seen as eye opening.
