Hi Gansach,
Yes, I do love flowers. Flowers of any kind;sweet smelling, non smelling, nectar filled, thorny, scraggly, uniform, colourful... and just like you, I love the names that evoke an image.
Beautiful presentation to match the subject matter.
With our thoughts we create...
descriptive flow.
Kindest regards,
James.

This poem, By Any Other Name, lists so many stately names which catch the ear and create a delightful feeling when imagining them flowered up and shining in the garden. Nice.

Eloquent poem from a fellow flower lower. My favorites are the spring bulbs. Do you have a garden? Love the smell of lilacs. Remind me of my grandmother's garden in Whitehall Michigan. Esther

A nicely presented post, with the title by any other name, I love the analogy, flowers are one of God's better ideas, beautifully written as varied as your beautiful colours are, it's a classic, well done, blessings Roy

Much enjoyed! The naming of flowers is a fascinating topic steeped in folklore. You've included some interesting and unusual ones here. Love in a Mist is one of my favourites.
