That's a cool story. An invitation to the Amazon would be hard to turn down! I do understand the safety concerns, though. I think the surprise and excitement came through well in your narrative.

How cool is that!! I think you could still write a blog for her but not have to travel with her. I would imagine you could get really sick if bitten by something in the Amazon jungle. But you could write about her adventures! Great story! Best wishes in the contest!

I have been to the Amazon rain forest and it was quite an experience. The people who live there, battle with the seasons and risk their life when there is flooding. They are hardy and brave and survive with very little. I have seen some amazing sights, including colourful wild tropical birds and pink dolphins.
